Wow it's been a shitty shitty few days...

Wednesday afternoon I drove my brother to Heathrow to join the rest of my family out in Adelaide for xmas and new year. Drove back home in his lovely audi convertable I might add, which was fun I admit and by god I suit that car! Anyway, I'm veering off the subject... I got home to find a message from Mum asking me to call her, So I did. She told me that the night before my Nan had died in her sleep. Now she's been in a care home in Wales for a few weeks now after a series of strokes, but she was doing alot better and the doctors were hoping she could be taken back home with a full time care nurse, so as you can imagine this news was pretty shocking, and ironically I think she knew as she insisted on having her hair "done" that day.
Now with Mum and Dad being in Australia, it's not worth them coming home after being out in oz for only a week, and I completley understand that after working in the industry I do and knowing that they will have to pay for brand new tickets and they won't get money back from their insurance... But it really couldn't have had worse timing. If we'd known a few hours before then Ben would have delayed his ticket until after the funeral so that he could represent our family with me but rubbish being rubbish timing it hasn't worked out unfortunately.
So on Monday morning, I am travelling up to Gwent, south wales to obviously show my support on behalf of me and my family, now this would be easier if it wasn't for several family fueds, not to mention the message from one of the members we don't get along with telling me not to bother coming if my family couldn't go because they are selfish staying in Australia and basically then phoning me up again and hurling a load of abuse down the phone at me.
So anyway, monday morning, funeral - one good thing is that now a member of the other side of my family (mum's brother) who lives in Andover is going to drive me up to Wales and bring me back, even be there with me to also show support on behalf of Mum and Dad also, which is really really lovely of him and he didn't even think about asking - I have a very over protective uncle, and I know if I get any gipp up there he will be by my side. The one thing that I'm not looking forward to, is riding in the funeral car with my aunty and uncle (ones we are very close to) and also the rest of the family that we do not get along with. It's all been a nasty nasty week

I also had to work a night shift on Wednesday night which was absolutly horrible, I wouldn't recommend that to anyone. 10pm-8am I have never felt so ill without actually being sick, and it made it that much harder not having my parents there, you know there is nothing more comforting than coming home knowing that your Mum is there to look after you! I know it sounds sappy, but I'm like that and I'm really missing my parents being here over the xmas season. It's alot harder than I thought especially them being so far away and all of this happening.

anyway, before I start the water works yet again, which I thought I'd just about got ahold of, Im going to go after that long rant. I'm not even going to start on problems with work!!!!

Please people, you know who you are, come and visit me over the next few weeks it would make me a very very happy girlie.
